Pisgah Asphalt

Pisgah asphalt did an excellent job of laying new asphalt for my 900 ft driveway. When all construction crews are limited, Mike communicated very well and gave me reasonable timelines to expect. Asphalt plants shut down from January to March typically so that’s when he quoted me the job. It was done before the end of the year. We are extremely happy with the quality of work.

Contacted Mike with Pisgah Asphalt back in August 21'. He came out in a timely manner, sent me a quote soon after and we scheduled work to be completed in late September. Late Sept. arrived and I was told "I was not on their books and he would have to schedule me for November". November came and went, with me calling and leaving messages on at least a weekly basis. During this 4 month period of waiting, the VERY expensive grading work I had done was slowly eroding from not being protected by a coat of asphalt. Now I have to spend a few thousand extra dollars to fix my grading work prior to another company coming to do the job that Pisgah Asphalt originally agreed to do.

Mike Miller of Pisgah Asphalt did a repair of our neighborhood's private road ($7,000 in patches), and we're all very pleased with his work. The president of the association wanted Mike to just apply a layer of asphalt over the existing road, but he refused to do it, saying that the repair would not last. Instead, he took up the old asphalt, put down and compacted a rock base, and then applied the hot asphalt on top of that. He is a perfectionist and his work reflects that. I highly recommend this company.

Very disappointing experience. Received estimate in April 2024. Was told job would be done in July...then September. No communication after that. Multiple phone calls and text messages that were never responded to. Today we were told that they don't know if they can do the job. Very unprofessional
