Plain & Fancy Custom Cabinetry

Plain & Fancy delivered botched and defective cabinets and refused to warranty replacements and repairs until contacted by my attorney. The cabinets were manufactured well below industry standards and essentially the entire project needed to be redone and is still subpar. The wood veneer was not sequenced or finished correctly resulting in unacceptable tone and grain matches. Even painted panels did not match and needed to be removed and repainted several times. A large kitchen corner piece has doors that do not slide. Multiple manufacturing delays were not communicated and the project was delayed well over a year. Overall, a botched $150,000+ job and Plain & Fancy and their representatives had to be coerced to honor their warranty of defective materials and still delivered a below indust

As I repainted my 3 year old Kitchen yesterday in an effort to disguise the horrible color my Pure White cabinets have morphed into I am compelled to write a review. I have contacted all levels of management with no response. In the very beginning there were finish problems and door problems. P&F came to my home and took the stance there was nothing wrong with the finish. P&F replaced 20 doors in my pantry 3 times. They replaced my master closet doors and the doors were worse than the originals. The replacement doors were all thrown away. They installed lights in my cabinets with the wrong color bulbs and then I needed to find the correct lighting and they hired an electrician. The drawers have unsightly knot holes and much more. Plain & Fancy has no interest in talking about the paint

One of the best custom cabinet brands out there. Not only do they offer amazing levels of customization but their designer training classes and product specifications literature helps designers understand what is possible in such a complex cabinet brand. The merging of Plain & Fancy with Fabuwood also assures that customer service and product development will be comprehensive and coordinated.

We had a custom kitchen done with Plain & Fancy Custom Cabinetry. We reached out to Plain & Fancy customer support with an issue with dovetails starting to come apart or that came apart on a couple of draws. The response was that this is not something that is covered under the lifetime warranty. Since they are the ones that manufactured the draws I would believe this should be covered with what is called a lifetime warranty. They have said we should use a refinisher to get the draws repaired. Now we want to make sure that others are aware of issues with the draws that Plain & Fancy has before they make the mistake of ordering custom cabinetry through a company that will not stand behind their product. WARNING be aware poor customer service and poor quality.
