Century Post 503 - VFW occupies a 90-year-old building in Downers Grove. To complicate matters, the building has 2 heating and 2 cooling systems. In May 2025, the boiler system that heats the hall and second floor needed to be replaced. Over the years there were fuel conversions, system updates and economic considerations to help remedy heat for the building. The Planz team completely re-engineered the system with today's technology to ensure environmental, efficiency and cost considerations for years to come. This concludes with the third major project provided to the Post by Planz. On behalf of myself, veterans, members and guests, we are extremely grateful to have Planz Heating & Air Conditioning as our contractor.

This company is insanely awesome! I was hooking up a whole house humidifier and crossed 2 wires on the controller/humidistat and blew a fuse on the furnace. So, I needed to call Eric "after hours" and he came in like 20 minutes (exactly when he said he would). He was (is) the NICEST and MOST PROFESSIONAL guy you could meet. He fixed my mistake in like 5 minutes and then noticed that there were some rust holes in the exhaust duct work - not safe. Within an hour, he fixed everything and when I got the bill, I could NOT believe how reasonable it was. This is the first heating and air conditioning company I've used that didn't try to rip me off. Eric (Planz) was super reasonable. I don't even think they charged me extra for being "after hours". Thanks for treating customers like they should

I would absolutely recommend Planz! What a relief to have a company that actually cares and saved me from buying a whole new unit I didn't need. Eric came to inspect my furnace and told me exactly what was wrong with it. He assured me that all I needed was a repair and cleaning, not a new unit. We recently had to find a replacement for our air conditioner and furnace. Planz Heating & Air conditioning was recommended by a friend who works in the HVAC industry. I couldn’t be happier with the results. Replacing a 30 year old unit was a big job, even for the experts. The entire removal and installation was. Completed in one day. Friendly knowledgeable staff, from the owner, estimator and technicians. The guys took their time to make sure everything was covered and protected from any dirt and mess. The installation was professional and complete. They even found and repaired a gas leak on our hot water tank at no additional charge. We are now enjoying a cool, quiet, and efficient system.
