Pop's Discount Building Materials

I came here because it was a discount store. I had a list of everything I needed to search for. When I arrived I was greeted and was excited to enter this giant warehouse of stuff. BUT then it got interesting. Every item I needed was either the same price or more than at Home Depot or Lowe’s. So same gentleman was walking through and I asked very politely “can you tell me what the difference is between here and Home Depot or Lowe’s? I’m looking for a specific door” Showed him the door marked at $379 and showed the same door at Home Depot NOT ON SALE for 349 and asked why there’s was more. His response “I don’t know but I’d suggest getting it from them” sadly I can’t go here anymore. This is not a discount store.

I am reviewing on the service that I rc'd during a phone conversation... Nikki at Weaverville store (maybe works both stores?) 100% professional, 100% knowledgeable, 100% friendly & kind. She gave me info for kitchen lower cabinet pull-outs. She also called me a couple days later to see if the info was helpful or if she could answer any more questions. Unbelievable how caring she is. Thank you Nikki, Thank you Pops!

I have never been treated so rudely! Such disorganization and impoliteness. I and my friend who was helping me find lumber are handicapped. The horrible "salesman" rapidly worked in front of us impatiently and rudely. Pointed to a huge pile of lumber and said, "there it is". I simply asked how he expected us to get it down. He then told us "I'm not helping her." I sure hope the owner sees this. His help needs counseling. We drove all the way from Madison County to this poorly organized place only to be subjected to rudeness which frightened me. We are handicapped senior citizens. We received cruel and unacceptable behavior from an unfit associate. He should be fired.

I had an amazing experience with Pops with them helping me with a custom door AND my mistake. It was a quarter of the price, built locally, and stellar customer service. I can't recommend them enough. I will be back when I'm ready for other supplies

Matt was incredibly helpful. Even spent time after hours searching for a specific door for me! Really appreciated the customer service.
