I'm a custom home builder in St Petersburg FL and construct a number of knew homes each year. Carl and his team at Preferred have been doing all of our mechanical installations for years. As a builder I feel fortunate to have connected with them and there level of expertise. Carl personally does all our energy calcs and system designs for all our homes. His staff and technicians are highly trained and very professional weather it be on my job sites or in one of my clients homes. It's a grass roots family owned business which is next to impossible to find these days along with affordable rates. I would like to share my experience today with Eric the service technician. He was the second technician that came out to service our AC system. He didn’t know it at the time that we had another company come out last week. We needed a second opinion and have our system serviced. Not only was Eric down right honest he held nothing back. While the other company told us we had a leak in our system and needed a whole new system, Eric told me that not only did we not have a leak we didn’t need Freon. We were fortunate enough to have this company referred to us by my daughter as they have used them for years. I just wished I had asked her first who she used. I would recommend not only this company but would like to say again thanks to Eric for being such an honest person!!!

Though not the origional installer, they came out the next day and got the system running again. The company we had used to do a checkup wouldn't budge off their previous set appointment in 4 days. They ordered warranty parts and replaced the same week. Courteous and straight talking, none of the normal sales gimmicks. I used them the previous week for another system on a rental and they did a great job there too.

Can't say enough good things about the folks at Preferred Mechanical. Attentive, responsive, courteous, prompt, quality work ethics, patient, etc, etc. Ken better not leave any time soon - he's the best. Eric cares about his employees and the business he manages. The staff answering calls communicate very well with the customer as well as with their team at Preferred. Plan to do business with them for a long time.
