Premier Basement Builders

My husband and I needed a bath tub and wall surround replaced and decided to go through Home Depot Home Services as we had used them before to replace some windows and a patio door several years ago and had a very good experience. We went through the Home Depot website and very quickly were contacted by Premier Basement Builders in Niagara Falls. From the very beginning the customer service was exceptional ( thank you Monika!) and an appointment was made for Greg to come to our home to take measurements and get a plan in place. We needed the project done on very specific dates to coincide with my husbands week off work and they were able to accommodate that with no issue. If you’re looking for a company with good communication skills…well, actually Premier Basement Builders are not good communicators. Their receptionist (Monika) refuses to call back if you leave a voicemail. We left multiple and received no callbacks, especially if they think you should already have the information. They also don’t like responding to emails but that tends to be a better option, sometimes. This is a recurring problem from many of the reviews below too. But if you put aside the communication problems, if you’re looking for a company that does good work…actually these guys are pretty bad at what they do. We hired them to do flooring and they installed the first half in the wrong direction and when we asked how they determined which direction to run it, they said “it was easie

First class service from start to finish. Greg was very thorough with preliminary visit and provided a detailed estimate. He met every trade onsite on their first day to review all aspects of their work. All trades people were courteous, professional and tidy. We were updated regularly on the status of project. Overall, we are extremely satisfied with our bathroom and would recommend Premier Basement very highly.

Looking to put in a new kitchen. Greg was very nice at the initial meet up. After 2 weeks of radio silence, still nothing. The worker at home depot we are dealing with also has problems getting I touch, but she finally did get some answers. Because of a few things we wanted to move around, permits were needed, which we were fine with. The fact we got radio silence from this company is not good. They should be checking in 1 to 2 times a week, just to let us know what is happening. This makes us feel like they would not be a reliable company to deal with. Honestly if I could give no stars, or even negative stars I would have. Not a good way to run a business, and I think home depot needs to find a more reliable builder to work with as this could start reflecting badly on them
