I live downtown and this garage is where our building tenants park. A lot of the confusion is because people don't read the signs posted throughout the garage. Yes, the gates are secured at a certain time to try to protect your vehicles. There are elevators on every floor at the top of the garage so there's no need to walk. Homeless people are in every city and Memphis is no exception. My suggestion is if you do a little research you will find out a lot before heading downtown Memphis on the weekends. Premium Parking does a great job trying to deter break ins and car thieves. Security is visible and they often walk the garage but nothing is 100% safe. Lastly, DO NOT PARK IN SPOTS THAT SAYS ASSIGNED SPACES OR YOU WILL BE BOOTED... THESE ARE RESERVED SPOTS FOR TENANTS THAT LIVE & PARK HERE 2

Booked on SpotHero, drove to the garage, parked, took the elevator downstairs, walked past the homeless guys, went to dinner. Walked back past the homeless guys to the garage about 8pm: it is locked!!! Who locks a parking garage? Sign says enter a number from your receipt: I don't have a receipt, I used SpotHero. Called the phone number, just get voicemail. You literally need to wait with the homeless guys until someone comes out or dangerously walk up the car ramp 4 stories to reach your car.
