Propark Boston’s Holyoke Garage

I reserved a spot here the night before, yet when I arrived the attendant didn’t let me in because they were already full. Whats the point of a reservation if a spot isn’t held for you? This seems scammy or just poor planning on the garage agency’s part.

*** Beware! Use at your own risk. *** This garage sells spaces through multiple online sellers/apps, but the spaces are not accounted for. IE, they overbook, sell more spaces than they have. IE they don’t really reserve your space, even though the sellers tell you that your space is reserved when you purchase one. So you pay and think you have reserved a space, and when you arrive the garage is often full and you have to park elsewhere. Also, the exit scanner won’t recognize your paid receipt when you try to exit. So you have to get a human on the phone, read them the very long transaction id, among other info, before you can exit. The first time this happened I didn’t know to do this and was charged $38 to leave after I already paid in advance for parking. I charged back the $38, but it w

Make sure you check the pricing. I was there for just under an hour, but at check out it wanted $24. The sign says 1/2hr to 1hr is $14. Oh, then they say there is a $2 fee for every transaction; plus they don't take cash. When I brought this up, the person said if I was 1 minute over it would cause the next level pricing, well I handed them the ticket as I was still several minutes early, they had to go get help to charge me $16. Your hourly rates are deceptive because you cannot actually pay that amount, you don't allow cash and force extra transaction fees.

Prices not listed upon entry of the garage. You must be the son or daughter of an oil tycoon to be able to afford to park here. I paid $36 for 2 hours. Complete ripoff. A Harvard degree was meant to be accessible to people of all socioeconomic backgrounds. But so should their parking. Social justice begins in your own neighborhood!

I URGE U AVOID THIS LOT AT ALL COST! I've purchased prepaid parking through Spot Hero on 5/16/18 for $28 to use on 5/24/18. When I arrived I showed my voucher to the attendant and he said no problem and waved me through to go and park. Now when it's time to exit the garage the same attendant told me I had to pay $55 flat rate because it was the day of Harvard's graduation and they wouldn't honor the Spot Hero voucher I've already paid for. I asked to speak with a supervisor who was no help at all. So basically I paid twice for a parking spot and now I have to wait 4-6 weeks for Spot Hero to cut me a check for $55.
