Provo Public Works Department

Jake, Jordan and Tristan in the water resources department came to my home to test the water at my request. They were friendly, helpful and answered many questions. They were knowledgeable about our city water and let me know that it’s very good quality water. They referred me to the annual water report for all the things that are tested in the water. I’m very impressed with their professionalism.

Recently purchased a truck from auction that was previously owned by Provo public works. The technician responsible for getting the trucks ready to be decommissioned apparently has the IQ of a rock. Trailer brake wires were cut, blower motor resistor wires were cut, throttle body wires were cut, o2 wires were cut, and knock sensor wires were cut. If you are planning on buying a vehicle from auction VERIFY it wasn’t previously owned by Provo public works.

Worst Public works I have ever worked with. I'm a builder and developer and I have never had to call and leave so many messages in my life to get a response. I have to call other departments just to get them to put pressure to call me back. I rarely can get a receptionist to answer and if they try and transfer you and the person never pickups and they don't return you voice mails. If you go into the office they are rarely there and when they finally get back to you they never apologize and won't make a decision then and there. They cancel their meetings and take months to give you back something that should take days. Better to take your business to another city if you are wanting to build or develop a new lot or development or just plan on it taking more than 3 to 5 months.

They assign a specific person to your permit and I've been trying to get ahold of that person for a week now with no response. It's holding up the whole project because I can't get 4 minutes of this guy's time.

As always, things were great and fun. Christine and Judy were professional and friendly. Hard to beat that!
