The cabinet quality is good. However, as Lavern told us himself, he is a woodworker, not a kitchen designer. So we ended up with a much less usable and much less practical kitchen, with less storage space, than we should have had. Our general contractor told us that we had to use this company. Having never renovated or designed a kitchen before, we didn't know what we didn't know. In hindsight, I sure wish we would have gone with a company who had a trained kitchen designer so that we could have ended up with a much better kitchen for our needs. The whole "design" process was Lavern telling us what size cabinets would fit in the space. He asked a couple of questions about if we preferred shelves or drawers in some of them. That was it. I know this sounds like hyperbole but my cabinets and vanity are the single best value I have ever purchased. They are so great to work with and their product is of the highest quality.
