We have lived in The Highlands for little over a year now. The woman next door was having Rain Shadow do some work for her so I gave them a call. Jon came out, looked at what we needed done and put us on the schedule. They removed limbs hanging over our roof and away from our stove. They also opened up our view from the deck. Very pleased with Jon and the workers who did the job. All were very competent, friendly, answered questions, great communication and cleaned up after themselves. Would highly recommend and will definitely use them again. Below is the before and after view from our deck.

The only arborists I will ever call. I couldn’t be happier with these folks. I had them take down a dead tree that was hanging over my house and they got it down quickly and safely. Excellent communication throughout the process and a willingness to meet my needs. I’m a woodworker so I wanted to keep some of the scrap and they neatly stacked it for me and also processed some chips to spread along my garden paths.

I am grateful to the Rain Shadow crew for excellent attention to safety, for their agility, and for their ability to work effectively as a team. It was a pleasure to have them caring for my household's well-being.

Rain Shadow completed a Orcas Highlands HOA fire mitigation (fuels break) along 2.1 miles of roadways fire mitigation project in May 2024, removing hundreds of small diameter (less than 8 inches diameter) considerable ocean spray, and limbing trees generally 12 feet (16 feet above roadways) to comply with a significant DNR forestry specification grant and our Firewise plan. Project included both community owned and private properties. This was second significant project by Rain Shadow for the HOA since 2022. Professionally done with minimal traffic delays since trees had to be felled to roads for chipping. Crews were responsive to HOA concerns. HOA board and lot owners pleased with results, and DNR full grant for work completed approved.

Visit from operations manager was timely with excellent follow up with bid and schedule. Workers came when promised. Did removal efficiently and effectively. Other three arborists I've used were lacking
