I have contacted Ed at Rainbow during each of the past two summers to service my leaky A/C unit and I have been very pleased with his work, his cordiality, and his fairness on both occasions. The summer prior to the first time I contacted Ed I used a different service, and while they did a good job as well I found them to be considerably more expensive. Ed is pragmatic about the fact that many people have older units that may leak freon but still function, and that most people can't afford the several thousand dollars it costs to replace a unit. Ed is a very honest and knowledgeable person. I have dealt with him on three occasions and couldn't be more pleased. A few years ago, he came in the middle of winter to fix my heater on a Saturday. He had to order a part that didn't arrive until that Monday. Ed came over as soon as the part came in and had my heater fixed by the time I was home from work. About a month ago I called Ed because my parent's heater was not working. He was in the vicinity of their house and went over within an hour of speaking to him. He was able to fix the improper wiring done by the oil company and had their heat working again in no time. My most recent experience with Ed was yesterday. He is honest, no BS, quick to respond, cares about the quality of his work, and does a great job. Basically, he is going to a great job and his rates are very reasonable. You can imagine if you remember your HVAC experience months after the visit then you know the technician is the real deal. Ed is a consummate professional who arrived on time and fixed my unit in a timely fashion. He is very knowledgeable and I would recommend him to anyone with an A/C problem.
