John and his crew did an excellent job rebuilding the chimney and adding a liner to our 1800 vintage house. We had a very limited time frame to have the job completed and we appreciated his communication, professionalism, and ability to work in very cold and windy conditions to get the work finished on time. We look forward to having John and crew do our next project which will be a fireplace rebuild!

We had several contractors come out to quote us a single chimney liner install and double-flu cap install. Of the three, John was the only one to point out that the chimney did not have a corbel on top, and that there were installation issues (leaning) of the existing wood stove liner. We went with his quote, even though it was slightly more than the other two, because he provided much more information on what should be done while he is on site and why it should be done, whereas others made no indication that those items are recommended. When it came time to install, the time frame was reasonable. He had installed the liner, corbled the upper 2 layers of bricks, installed a new crown and cap. He had also resolved the issue with the other liner not being secured properly at the top. While
