Reading Parking Authority

My experience with the parking authority has been deeply unsatisfactory. The level of professionalism exhibited is consistently lacking. I have observed specific instances of what appears to be insubordinate and tyrannical behavior during interactions. Furthermore, there are documented issues of parking violations by the authority's own staff, which is contradictory to their role in enforcing these policies.

Reading Parking Authority is a complete scam. I attended an event in the area a couple of weeks ago. Their online parking system and the kiosks for payment weren’t working. The parking attendants confirmed this and we tried paying several times throughout the night. Now they’re sending out violation notices requiring people to pay double the cost of the parking we would have paid if the system wasn’t down. I hope people catch on and dispute every ticket.

Reading parking authority is a complete joke. I received a parking ticket while I was doing Lyft. I was still on my vehicle and waiting for a passenger to come to my vehicle. Parking authority just took a picture of my vehicle and sent a ticket in the mail. They did not even bother to get out and check on me or anything. The response given from parking authority when I questioned the ticket and if there is a better way for rideshare drivers to go about picking up passengers in the city so tickets are not given, there response was it’s a valid ticket but could not follow up on if there is a better way or option for rideshare/taxi drivers. I am tired of the doble standard the ppl in the parking authority has. How is it I am on a one way with no way of getting around vehicles and there he or she is doble parked, "DOUBLE PARKED" with hazard lights on, just taking pictures of the liscence plates of parked cars, and I am literally stuck behind this fool. Ooooh but God forbid it was one of us regular drivers doing that, we would get a ticket right of the bat. Ya'll better do something bout this double standard bs. It's not ok, I had an emergency and was stuck behind then a good 10 minutes. Park and walk to do the job, plus there is the pic of the vehicle and liscence plate. Once again, the Reading Parking Authority has demonstrated a lack of professionalism and fairness. I received a citation while I was still inside my vehicle and, despite discussing the situation with the “officer” and office administration, I was told there was nothing that could be done. I believe this reflects a serious issue with the Authority’s practices and accountability. I plan to explore possible legal action and have substantial evidence to support my case.
