Red Garage

The Red Garage at UMiami Miller is pure hype. It’s talked up as a modern, convenient facility, but the reality is inefficient, frustrating, and poorly designed. Traffic flow makes little sense, access points bottleneck constantly, signage is unclear, and enforcement feels arbitrary rather than functional. It looks impressive in renderings and promotional language, but using it day to day exposes how little real planning went into usability. That disconnect makes the Red Garage a perfect symbol of the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine itself. Some elevators don't work, but it's a good place to park. Max daily price is $11.00

I am Very disappointed,I parked on the roof When I was going to leave the parking garage.None of the elevators doors were working and all the stairs were locked I had to walk up to were the car was parked on the 8th floor.Im a 70 year old woman with knee problems.Then they Charged me $11.00, That was an abuse, and uncalled for ....

The garage used to be fine. But someone apparently had the incredibly bright idea to merge the egress and ingress traffic together. Who could've possible known doing that and making everything in the entire garage one way would cause massive lines for people entering and exiting? It's almost as literally forcing people to make a circle will cause people to get stuck. And the recent reduction in overall parking spaces by making all the spots larger is great too for capacity. 🤦

Everything is broken as everything else at Jackson. Elevators are super hot inside. Don't use elevators... we got stuck. No air to breath for those few minutes.
