Reliable Electric and Heating & Air

We used Reliable Electric Heating & Air to upgrade the electric service for our new Tanning Salon located on 17 Bypass S in Myrtle Beach. We worked closely with the owner, field men and office staff. I have to say without them we would not be up and running today. They were all a call away when we had any questions or concerns. Everyone at Reliable was more than willing to help. I would hire them over and over again. My family will be forever grateful to have found the right company for our nerve wracking adventure.

I have had Reliable Electric at my home on two occasions. Once yesterday and another three months ago. Out serviceman was Dwayne. He was on time, professional, courteous, neat, and friendly. He went out of his way to make sure the job was complete and to our satisfaction. We also dealt with the office manager Kelly. She too was very friendly and accommodating. They were great to deal with.

We heard the crash- the kitchen chandelier had torn out of the ceiling and glass shattered everywhere. Reliable Electric had installed it 13 months ago. Their electrician, D., arrived at our home a few minutes before I did and my wife let him in. He arrived seething with anger and hostility- my wife said she felt threatened having him in the house. When I got home D. was still steaming mad and was basically shouting at me that it wasn’t their fault and it’s only a 12 month warranty and besides we probably did something to make it happen and so on. When I tried to ask him if he would let me complete a sentence he continued to shout so I walked to another room and he left the house. After a recent home inspection, it was noted one of my breakers was not compatible with others in the fuse box. I called Reliable Electric and they sent someone out after two different schedule changes due to double booking. After the initial assessment, the technician did not have the equipment and needed to go back to the shop and return at 1230. I called him at 230 as he didn't show at 1230. He said he would come the following day when I called him back. I then received a call from the office - they said he couldn't come out until 4 days later. Additionally, to swap out a breaker, they were charging me $70 for the breaker and $127 for labor (this is a 10 minute process). To all that may concern I am with a company in Myrtle Beach South Carolina and we gave reliable electric heating and air the opportunity to do some HVAC work for us. After excepting three or four quotes we found reliable the least by far. After talking to the supervisor A second time I wanted to clarify to him and give him a heads up that he was half the price as other companies and if he was awarded the job I expected the same quality and assurance that the job would be done professionally and completed at a reasonable time frame.
