We recently remodeled our kitchen and after completion realized how much the kitchen table and counter stools clashed with the lighter color scheme. Peter and his team stripped the old finish, painted the set the same color of the kitchen cabinets, and custom matched the stain of the maple floors for the table top and seats of the chairs and stools. Peter encouraged us to visit the shop to ensure we were satisfied with the color before completing the job. The result speaks for itself - see the before and after photos. It really completes the kitchen and we're pleased with the results. Highly recommend Peter for any refinishing project.

Peter and his team did the most incredible job stripping and refinishing my parents’ 50+ year old mahogany table and chairs. The Table had an antiquated finish that did not suit our home. Peter was able to attain the EXACT finish I had hoped for and I’m so grateful that he and his talented crew were able to spend time understanding what I was looking for and delivering a beautiful result that I am SO happy with! Absolute amazing job by Peter and his team! He restored 4 doors in our 1766 farm house, which were covered in years and years of paint. They look like works of art. Better than I could have imagined! Worth every penny.

I highly recommend Restorations by Peter Schichtel. I brought four pieces to be refinished: an end table, 2 dressers and a China closet. These were old pieces of furniture that have been with my family for many years. Pete did an outstanding job restoring them. In fact, one of the dressers and the China closet had some water damage to the legs, and there was no sign of it at all. All four pieces look brand new. It was a pleasure doing business with Peter. Things were handled in a professional manner. The price was reasonable for a great job. I was completely satisfied with Peter's work and would definitely use him again.

I took this rifle stock with finish issues in to Peter, and he stripped off the old finish and refinished it in a beautiful walnut with a lacquer topcoat for protection and shine. Just look at this beautiful wood now! This guy does some seriously great work with wood. No hesitations to bring him anything else that needs work next time!
