To handle a large home repair project, I wanted to support a woman-owned business. I found Dawn Barnes on the National Association of Women in Construction website. From the second I called Dawn, I haven’t been able to peel my jaw off the floor. She promptly answered the phone and was very friendly and professional. Within days, her craftsmen Zion and Jason arrived on-time and on-point at my home. As a woman, especially one with an opinion + a little construction knowledge, it’s a real crapshoot whether construction guys will be inclusive or dismissive of your participation.
