Don’t buy an electric Rheem Hot water heater. I had a 50 gallon heater installed February 14, 2019. It is now leaking four months after the supposed warranty ran out. The company itself says the life expectancy is 8 to 12 years. This product did not even come close to the eight years. I have contacted them and they refuse to do anything about it. The tank developed leaks at the bottom and at the valve, rendering the water heater unusable. While I understand Rheem’s Limited Warranty is non-transferable, many states—including Texas—recognize an implied warranty of merchantability, meaning products should function for a reasonable period under normal use. A water heater failing this quickly does not meet that standard and strongly suggests a manufacturing defect. I'm truly getting tired of your systems, when you pressure test it stops equaling out around, 150,200. And trust me the TXV is not getting too hot. I've been installing for 8 years and never had a problem with any other manufacturer, but it's almost every system with y'alls equipment. Also last weak I had an air handler, the pan was fully cracked. Today I had a condenser with a hole in it, this is like the third condenser with a hole in it. Please figure out your problems.
