RI Hardwood Floors

We had Ruslin with RI Hardwoods refinish our 60 year old hardwood floors and we are very pleased with the work and craftsmanship from Ruslin. Our floors required replacing some wood,repairing other areas and updating the old raised heat vents with beautiful flush vents. Ruslin was extremely easy to work with and was able to meet every request we had. Price was fair and competitive. I would definitely use RI hardwoods again. Thank you Ruslin you did a beautiful job.

We love how our new floor turned out. Our work was not easy either. He would need to connect the part where it used to be carpet floor with new red oak hardwood floor. He connected, sanded and refinished it all together with the beautiful natural wood color and removed that ugly red tone. He is a solo practitioner so could be a few days more slower than other big companies but quality of the work is better than those big ones. Price is unbeatable too. I highly recommend him!

We had him refinish our existing hardwood floors and extend hardwood into 2 other rooms that were carpeted. He did a great job and was so helpful with additional suggestions, like custom wood vents that he cut in that match the floors, and showing many options so we could choose the best color. We hired Ruslin to work on our wood floors, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. Ruslin is a true craftsman who cares deeply about his work and takes every step of the process seriously. Our project was especially challenging, as it involved a 1900 house with unlevel floors. Ruslin had to rip out the old flooring, install new red oak floors, and level the floors with plywood in a large section of the house—something we didn’t originally mention to him. We also complicated things further by building a fireplace before doing the floors, which was out of sequence. However, Ruslin worked with us and ensured the flooring looked seamless around the fireplace. Russ did an amazing job refinishing our very damaged oak floors that still had the original finish from 1964 (they were bad). After seeing the pics on his Facebook page, we knew he could restore them, but we were still totally blown away when they were done. It felt like the whole house was new again. We also needed him to help us match some white oak in the kitchen with red oak in the rest of the house and he was so helpful in showing us how the stain would take differently on each wood type. We found a great color and thankfully the floors look the same! In addition to doing a fantastic job, Russ is a super nice guy and he really cares about his workmanship. We were so grateful to have his expertise.
