Unfortunately, I cannot write a positive review about Riemer’s work and behaviors. Overall, the experience working with them could be worthy of a show named “renovation from hell”. I hired Dan Riemer for a medium size project that included: creating a laundry room, adding a bathroom, removing a cumbersome circular staircase to create a comfortable stairwell as well as demolishing an old deck to build a new one. Dan took the project pledging that it would take 2-3 months and committing to have 2 working teams on the project. It went well for the initial 2 months, while demolition and hard construction just started. After this, it just became a nightmare. They did not show up for weeks at a time and construction got delayed beyond imagination. False promises were made over and over about

Very professional and buttoned-up. They did a great job from start to finish: a detailed estimate, full insurance, expert workmanship, on schedule, and fair rates. Most importantly, they didn't vanish mid-job!

I am so glad that we found Dan and his crew on Angie's List. We had what we thought and impossible garage conversion to an art studio due to a terribly cracked and uneven cement floor and a lot of bad DIY from the previous owner to deal with. Dan contacted us right away, gave us a timely, detailed and fair estimate for all of the work that his crew would do. Their work has been outstanding. I highly recommend Riemer Contracting and look forward to working with Dan and his crew on our next project!

I have used Riemer contracting twice now once for a kitchen remodel and once for a bathroom remodel. Extremely helpfully for every phase of the project offering suggestions for items I was unsure about and helping me cut costs but not quality. When issues came up I felt in the loop. I intend on using them in the future to help extend a deck around a recently installed pool.

I highly recommend Daniel and his team. They remodeled three bathroom and installed a new kitchen backsplash. It looks like a whole new house! Fantastic work, extremely responsive, and fast. He is great at communicating and was spot on with his timeline. If you’re looking for a great contractor in NY you’ve found him!
