Don't ever buy a fireplace from Rio Grande. The salesman Michael Fox made representations that were completely untrue about how the fireplace could be installed. All he cared about was the sale. The actual install was done incorrectly and they put in a lousy venting system that was all wrong. It had to be taken out, and the $1,000 venting system I paid for originally was finally put in after several weeks delay. The coordination with my contractor was non-existent, and when they met he was given incorrect information about what type of frame to install. He had to take out what he originally put in and replace it, costing me extra. The Fire Test start up was scheduled for a 4 hour window. Nobody called or showed up during those 4 hours.
