We were shocked by the damage the tree did to our house and we did not even know where to start and what to do. First, we called a construction company for emergency. The company came, estimated the cost and contacted our insurance company for the cost approval. After the official approval by the insurance they removed the tree and did a simple roof tarping. For that we paid about $5K. Later the insurance company representative came to us to estimate the damage repair cost. The insurance company sent us a check for $12K.
