I hired Rock On Paving & Construction to completely redo my driveway — we ripped out the old asphalt and replaced it with a heated concrete driveway, added brick pavers along both sides, and installed lighting to finish it off. I wanted to go all out on this project and make it something that really stood out. From start to finish, the experience was smooth. They walked me through the process, answered every question, and kept everything organized and on schedule. Absolute disaster from start to finish. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! They showed up ready to start work without a signed contract—which should have been my first warning of incompetence. Communication was awful, coordination was sloppy, and the finished product is nowhere close to what was agreed to or paid for. The driveway is uneven and puddles every time it rains due to settling and poor compaction issues. Water drainage was the primary reason for hiring this company, yet what they installed is clearly inadequate. The drains installed were smaller than what the contract specified, and when I called it out, I was told it “wouldn’t matter anyway” because the system “can’t handle the volume of water anyway.” That response says everything about how they operate. Hired to repave common driveway for three houses. Expensive but thought they did a good job. Problem is their warranty is meaningless. Water pools on our flat driveway and Rock On refused to correct this under warranty, claiming that we should spend additional thousands for them to tear out their work and try again. (They said nothing about needing extra work when they dug out the old driveway for the resurface.) ••• You said nothing about a channel drain or slope when you wrote-up the job. Within months after we paid you to tear out our old driveway and replace it (photos 6 & 7), the asphalt sank and water puddles (photos 1-5). Rather than honor your warranty, you recommended tearing out the botched job and paying you to try again.
