Roper Lucas Parking Garage

The rate is $2/hour, but they don’t tell you that it jumps to $40 per day if you stay over 7 hours. You learn that when you leave to go home and are trapped at the gate to exit. What if I had planned to pay cash but had only brought enough based on the posted $2/hour. With no attendant, someone would be stuck without any help.

They just need better signage so newcomers know where to go after parking. I had to ask other people. There also needs to be better designation on which is Roper parking lot and which is MUSC's. We parked in MUSC one when gps signal went awry, so had to pay to park for a Dr appt at Roper.

Visiting my mother from out of state. Parking is a nightmare downtown. Had handicap license plate (so parking should be free). Used help button on box as exiting. No one ever answered and had to pay $40 as I was there longer than 6 hours. Not notice of that when entering.

Easy in, easy out. Modern, efficient kiosk machines at enter and exit ways. Clean, generous parking spots with well kept elevators on each floor.

Parking garage is dark and narrow.
