I recently had Rolf Griffin Service Experts out to do maintenance on my AC for the summer. The tech said that when he started it up the motor caught fire and they cannot fix it and I need to replace the system now. I had a second opinion come out and the tech said there was NO sign of any “fire” as all the dust was still all over the motor that the first tech said a fire took place. The second tech said that the guy from Rolf Griffin Service Experts “shorted out” my motor. I reached out after this first happened with my concern before getting a second opinion and the tech who came out said he couldn’t/wouldn’t do anything about it.
