Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

There was no upfront fee for coming to our house. I had called a different company and they wanted money upfront for just coming to our place and taking a look. The tech Tuan provided excellent work fixing our leaking service main pipe below the shut off valve. He did a thorough troubleshooting and determined the part wasn’t broken. He reinstalled the existing part after thoroughly cleaning and using liquid thread. Leak is gone.

I had a back-up in my basement toilet and shower due to a pump problem. I scheduled an appointment on the Roto-Rooter app and had a plumber (Paul) on site the next day. He pulled the in-line pump (see picture) to op-check it and found a plastic bag that was clogging the pump. The pump was not damaged and was functional, so he reassembled it and the problem was solved. Price: $600 (pricey but was fast and effective). Tip: Keep your phone near you, Roto-Rooter cancels your plumber if you do not respond within 10 minutes of them contacting you!! Overall: Satisfied. From the time I scheduled the call on the app to the time it was fixed: 19 hours.

The experience was not good. I have pipes that knock and rattle when the water runs. It only happens first in the morning after the pipes have been water free for some time. I typically use my home warranty for repairs. However, I noticed the monthly premium increases with each claim. So, I reached out to Roto Rooter for my issue. The first plumber came out and I intentially did not use any sinks or bathroom until the plumber arrived. He arrived and we confirmed the knocking and rattling from the pipes. He adjusted the water main valve and the water filtering valve. We then tried the water again. The noise was not present. I did mention to the plumber that the noise would only be present at first use of water. Afterwards, you would not hear until the pipes were water free. He assured me th

We had a water clog that caused a water problem to the floor below. The plumber came out and snaked the toilet. In the process cracked the flange which caused another leak. When called back out to fix their warranted work, we were told the snaking wasn't guaranteed and we would have to pay more money to get it fixed. Then their water restoration company came out. They told us they worked directly with our insurance, which turned out to not be true. They also told us we would not have any out of pocket expenses except out deductible, which turned out to not be true. They are now demanding we pay $1300 out of pocket. Beware of this company. We will never use them again.
