I had Jim Rott Home Improvement & Air Conditioning come out to install a thermostat that I had already purchased so I could connect it with my home app. The technician was at my house for about 25 minutes, and the installation itself went smoothly. However, I was never informed ahead of time that there would be a diagnostic (trip) charge in addition to labor — even though I have a yearly maintenance contract with them. When the bill arrived, it totaled $145 ($50 labor and $95 diagnostic), with no maintenance customer discount. When I called to discuss the charge, Kevin (who I believe is the owner’s son) was dismissive and spoke over me during the conversation. Instead of addressing my concern about not being informed beforehand, he asked what the fee amount is at the company my daughter

I purchased a home with HVAC installed and serviced by Jim Rott. Just recently had an issue with my air conditioning and they were fantastic to work with. From Mary Beth at the office, to Chris and Zach at my home, they were all friendly and professional. Not only that, but Chris took the time to explain my entire system and had some great recommendations to keep it running for years to come. This isn't my first property in Florida and the simple fact I have an 8 year old unit and nobody tried to immediately upsell me on a brand new system speaks volumes to Him Rott's integrity and transparency. I'll absolutely be calling them for all of my HVAC needs from now on, including my other properties. Thanks to the Rott Team for great service.

These guys are great. They were working on a neighbors house and I needed some professional AC advice. They told me what to do, but I lacked the tools. So they came over it did it. I'm impressed and will call them for AC service and remodeling.

Kevin the owners son of Jim Rott A/C came to fix a back up problem with my A/C. I share a water drain line with my neighbor. When his company came to repair hers they clogged mine. I called the company and he came said he couldn't find the outside drain. He went to my closet took pvc apart to shoppe vac the back up. Said it was fixed. I offered to pay he said no. The next day my a/c is backing up, pipes leaking and flooding my floor. I call him and he refuses to come back to fix his mess and unclog my drain. Told me to call someone else. He was rude when he came, It was a bad experience. I had to call another Repair Company who came out. Very knowledgeable and it was costly to fix something I should not have had to. I had an ongoing AC issue with my compressor. At first I called an AC company competitor who wanted $1400 to put in 2 capacitors that cost maybe $40 to buy. This is literally a 5 minute job and $1400 was a ridiculous rip off. Typical of these AC companies in hot months. I called Jim Rott. They came out the same day, checked the entire system, and replaced the needed parts for less than $200. I will call Jim Rott from now on! They handle other jobs besides AC units. They are now in our community HOA vendor directory as a reliable brand!!
