I greatly prefer to use RP Lumber compared to the big box stores. The service is second to none. Friendly, knowledgeable staff at every location.

RP Lumber is by far the best lumber company in the entire metro area. Outstanding service and top of the line products. Highly recommend them for any contractors or homeowners.

It has been a frustrating experience to work with this company. I’ve been trying to purchase some closet doors for a couple of weeks. Came in on a Saturday and was told by Donna I couldn’t place an order because the vendor was closed that day. Ok.... return a week later to place the order. Call a couple of weeks ago (on a Friday) to check on the status of my order and was told by Donna she couldn’t find it. Blake gets on the phone and tells me one door is on back order and he will personally call me on Monday to let me know the status. TEN DAYS LATER (today 11/13/19) I call back only to speak with Donna who (surprise, surprise) doesn’t know anything about my order. The manager Tim could not have been better to deal with. Roger who did the delivery was also great. This level of customer service is very rare these days especially in the home improvement industry.

They were helpful end knowledgeable. The seem to have most of what I need for my house. I would recommend them above Lowe's or home Depot. But I've tried believe in granite City although small still has the best most knowledgeable staff I have yet encountered. I'll update on 84 lumber as I get more experience with their store but they seem really good and are close to me.
