They always have what you need. Very helpful and friendly staff. Cheaper prices than other farm stores. Definitely worth the 25 minute drive from our house.

I've never had a bad experience at Rural King. The prices are very good, the free popcorn is a definite draw, and even though you're not supposed to pet the chicks and bunnies they're absolutely adorable to watch. Even when I come just to walk around, I always find something to leave with. If you like Farm and Fleet, you'll love Rural King.

I was absolutely horrified when I saw the male bunny at Rural King in Plano Illinois. My kids were so excited to go see the bunnies and the chicks, but that quickly changed. There were two bunny cages, one for male and one for the female. The female’s Cage with empty but neatly cleaned and had freshwater and food. However, the male bunny was dying. He obviously had a terrible infection. His eyes were matted shut and had discharge coming out of his pee hole. Not to mention, he smelled absolutely horrible. And his cage condition was disgusting beyond belief. I could not believe they had this dying bunny out in the public for kids to see. He has obviously been sick for a while. This did not happen overnight.

This place has it all, interesting store that caters to everyone. Good prices and essentials for people living in the country. You can get anything from chicks, ducklings and kits to clothing. The mulch prices are the best in town.
