My daughter/ son-in-law recently completed an oil furnace to geothermal heating/ cooling system with the Water Furnace 7 system. Geothermal systems are not for everyone, but if you have the land they are exceptionally efficient and the new variable speed fan and pump are quiet as well. The system recently maintained 68F indoors on an exceptionally cold (-6F) morning, so Ryan sized the system properly for the house and the cold weather didn't impact the unit efficiency. The first photo shows heating energy consumption using only the supplemental electric heater (Sun-Tue), the heat pump activation (Wed), and the first two days on 100% geothermal (Thursday, Friday). The switchover occurred in one day (house stayed heated), and thermostat is an energy-nerd's dream!

It was a positive experience from the first call to schedule an estimate to the final day of work. They worked diligently and safely wearing masks as necessary since this was during the COVID-19 pandemic. We had an old oil burning furnace in this 138 year old house. They replaced it and converted us to gas and also removed the oil tank from our basement. They replaced old leaking pipes as well. The first day of work was the noisiest and that was to be expected. They also replaced the thermostat. The price was reasonable. The workers were courteous and knowledgeable. They cleaned up well after the job was complete. I would recommend this company. We recently had an oil-to-gas conversion on our 70 year old home. Patrick assessed our home and suggested a combi-boiler. Ryan Inc. dismantled our old oil furnace and installed a new gas combi-boiler for our hydronic heating system. They have efficient crews with solid workmanship that will make the process go smoothly. I live in Cranford in a 97 year old house that relies on window unit air conditioners every summer. It's a pain to install/remove them every year so, after much research, I decided to hire a company to install a Ductless Mini-Split System that can be installed without having to open up the plaster & lath walls inside this old house. These "heat pumps" are primarily high-efficiency air conditioning units, but they also provide heat in winter. This is the best HVAC company I've ever dealt with. The employees, ownership, service level, attention to detail, and promptness are all above expectations. I had 6 contractors through my house to give me estimates and these guys were hands down the best, not only that but they do everything possible to save their customers as much money on the install, through incentives, rebates, etc. Clearly, they invest in their employees. There aren't a lot of companies that do things the right way, but this is one of them. Highest recommendation.
