Rymes Propane & Oil

Worse experience of owning a home has been dealing with this company. This has been years of poor treatment coming to a head with this review. This week, we started calling because we hadn’t received a delivery of propane even though we are on auto delivery and our account is current. Rymes said they were “too busy” to come out. Woke up this morning and it’s 40 degrees in my home with my 3 small children here. We spent hours on the phone Tuesday and Wednesday and my husband watched the Rymes delivery truck drive by our house more than once, so they were clearly in the area. Horrible service, horrible management and even worse customer service. Cannot wait to switch companies. I wish I could give 0 stars, that’s how bad it’s been. USE ANY OTHER COMPANY, DO NOT USE THIS ONE!!!

We have a large, in-ground propane system with Superior / Rymes that supplies primary heat for our home. I placed a refill request on January 22, when our tanks were still around 40%, specifically to avoid any issues during winter. It has now been 18 days with no delivery. I’ve called multiple times to follow up, spending 30+ minutes on hold each time, only to be given two separate delivery windows, both of which were missed with no explanation, no follow-up, and no accountability. This is during a period of extreme cold in New Hampshire — something everyone in the region is well aware of. Delays happen, but repeatedly telling customers “it will be in a few days,” missing those commitments, and failing to provide a confirmed delivery date after nearly three weeks is completely unacceptab

I don’t write many reviews, but this is getting ridiculous. My mom has always had her account set up for automatic oil deliveries, but for some reason, unbeknownst to her, her account was switched to will call. She only found this out when she called to figure out why her oil hadn’t been delivered when her tank was almost empty. This was on Saturday, and she was told a delivery would come on Monday. Well, today is Monday and she still has not received her oil delivery. She spent a couple hours of her day today on the phone trying to get through to someone who could help her sort this out. The person she spoke with said they would get back to my mom via email but never did. So basically this company switched my mom’s account from automatic deliveries to will call without her knowing, then

The worst service lately. A ten year customer and all of a sudden they can’t keep their orders straight. Delivery driver didn’t know how to help prime my tank after running out while on vacation, waited 7 hours for a new technician to come out to prime and start the system. A week later received an additional charged my card for another service never mentioned or explained. Refused to credit the issue. Not acceptable service in any way! Won’t be returning as a result. Better service elsewhere to be honest!

Worst customer service ever! Can’t reach anyone via telephone or email and NO office to visit! They have let us run out of both oil and propane while on auto delivery. AND they have the highest prices! There is NO EXCUSE to let a long term customer run out and CHARGE them to prime their furnace when it was YOUR fault we ran out! You can make all the excuses in the world BUT it doesn’t matter. Rhymes was a good company before the “take-over”
