Sam White & Sons Inc

We needed playground wood chips for our back yard. Called Sam White & Sons in Medfield and were able to schedule a delivery within a few days. I ordered 5 yards and that was a bit too much (the guy on the phone estimated 10-14 yards, that would be enough for a whole school playground...) The truck driver was excellent, managed to maneuver the truck thru our driveway (somewhat narrow with overhanging tree limbs) into our back yard. He was professional, kind and friendly. We bought what they call "certified playground wood chips", but I was disappointed because a lot of it is thin sawdust, the fine fibers get into your nose and throat even when the material is wet, you need to wear a mask when spreading it around. I doubt it will last more than a couple of years. My advice is to order the

Very easy and pleasant experiences with mulch and compost delivery as well as picking up some flagstones for a path. Prices also seem very reasonable. I used their compost to fill raised garden beds which goes against traditional recommendations and had a phenomenal growth year.

Absolutely love this business- they are my "go to" for mulch, gravel and any kind of stone because of the ability to see the material in person. I went in last week for advice on a concrete project and was so impressed with Dan and James- they listened carefully to my project needs and helped me come up with a fantastic solution and product to use. Love, love, love this place, they've helped us with mulch, gravel and landscape stones (and ideas) - the materials are great, the staff is helpful, and the delivery is fast. I had a yard problem area I wasn't sure how to improve and they made several suggestions before we ended up with a small retaining wall of regulation cobblestone which is a perfect accent to the house and driveway. They're my go-to for any landscape needs!!!
