Blaine and his dad were incredibly kind and accommodating. They helped me open a safe I’d bought on Amazon after I lost the keys. And gave me a great deal on top of it. Forget paying $500 or more elsewhere. Bring your safe to them and save a bundle. We need more small businesses like this. Highly recommended!

This is a multi generational family owned locksmith. They have years of experience. I brought in my very old worn car key. I had purchased a blank copy online. It was not going to be able to be copied by the standard method. Michael, who was helping me, said he could try and decode it and he would try it on a test key. In about 5 minutes he had a key cut that worked! This is an art. Regular online key stores and kiosks would not have been able to do this. It would have been a waste of money. But with the talent at this location, they masterfully made me a new car key. And copied my house key in about 2 seconds. The pricing is beyond Fair of what you would experience at a kiosk, online locksmith. They were far more economical and have years of talent to ensure you get what you need.

Blaine from Santa Monica Lock & Safe is a magician . This is the first time I’ve felt compelled to immediately write a review for a business . I consider myself a handy person but I could not have picked a better service when deciding to call these guys . I had a key break in my ignition . 80 % of the key was lodged nearly 1.5 inches into the ignition barrel . I had several mechanics look at it and everyone told me I would need to replaced the ignition housing and quoted me a price 5x the price it cost for Blaine to show up and resolve it in 30 minutes .

They are experts and have integrity at what they do. Even something as simple as taking an old or bad key someone gave me and make new copies that work perfectly- try doing that with a vending machine or warehouse store. I will think of any excuse to visit give this place my money even if it’s a bit extra, totally worth it. A local treasure!
