Scatton's Heating and Cooling

On a Friday morning with below-zero temperatures and no heat due to a frozen pipe, I contacted Scatton’s and was immediately impressed with their responsiveness. Mike was able to come out promptly, assess the situation, and implement a temporary solution while clearly outlining a permanent repair plan for Tuesday morning. The Scatton’s team arrived right on time as scheduled and were extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and fully briefed on both the issue and the planned course of action. They were very respectful while working in my home and exceptionally tidy throughout the process—even while dealing with spray insulation in an attic crawl space (booties were much appreciated!). Thank you to Mike and the entire team for your professionalism, hard work, and dedication to your craft.

I had Scatton's out for a furnace that was not heating properly. The technician replaced the igniter early in the visit. When that didn’t solve the problem, I was told the control board would need to be replaced, but the part wasn’t available. At that point, the furnace still wasn’t working and I decided to stop further work (I did not replace the control board) and get a second opinion. I was charged $450 for the visit. A second company later identified a very restrictive air filter as the main issue, which resolved the problem without major parts replacement. Based on my experience, I would have preferred a more step-by-step diagnostic process before moving to expensive parts. Others may have different experiences, but this one wasn’t a good fit for me.

Had a new furnace installed 5/2016. While the installation proposal stated "5-year warranty" on installation and labor, Scatton's DOES NOT provide this warranty. They buy a Climate Shield service contract for (their own) payment. One can use another vendor only if they accept Climate Shield. Our unit was serviced by another vendor and a faulty regulator setting was found (much too rich). The unit was spewing CO. Being a safety issue I had them fix it rather than calling Scatton's and wait. Paid out of pocket. Very misleading, a service contract IS NOT a warranty.

I use Scatton's for my annual maintenance of my system and will for any future repairs I may need. Their technicians are very knowledgeable ,customer friendly and trustworthy. Highly recommended .

We used Scattons to service heating and install central air through our house and a small split unit in our TV room in 2021. We have had no issues with our central AC however the split unit has broke twice now. Last year in 2024 only being 3 years old it stopped working after a storm. They recommended we install a surge protector. We had them proceed with installing one as we were told this would protect our unit from future damage. About a month ago, we had the first big summer storm of the season. This time the split unit control panel stopped working despite the surge protector continuing to operate fine. Parts were covered under warranty however we needed to pay labor. Understood however labor charge was for approx 1-2 hours of time spent equating to $557 invoiced. This is in addition
