Excellent company. We had unexpected damage at our office and Tom Scholten stepped in right away to help Professional, efficient and made the entire process stress free. Highly recommend!

I would not recommend these people to paint an outhouse. They have been building a house on Monarch circle for over two years now (BTW took only a year to build the Empire State Building and its 102 stories) They block traffic, park their truck over the sidewalk and generally create a hazard for pedestrians by forcing them to walk out onto the street when walking their dogs or picking kids up from the bus stop. Their work force spends more time sitting around and smoking than actually working. STAY AWAY FROM THEESE GUYS!

Working with Scholten Construction (Tom Scholten) was certainly a learning experience and one we would never want to experience again. We are professional people that did not make a smart decision using them for our complete interior remodel with a covered addition to the lanai. We met with Tom the owner, twice prior to contracting and also visited a construction project that he was working on at the time in our neighborhood. He indicated that he could complete the project in about 3 mos. as he had his own staff rather than using subcontractors. He provided a verbal "estimate" of what he felt like our renovations would cost based on the work/costs of the current house he was renovating. He indicated that his contract was time/material rather than quote to complete. We agreed to

We had an exceptionally bad experience with this contractor. He talked a good talk and composed himself very nicely to land the job, but when we started pointing out mistakes that needed to be corrected it got ugly. The underlayment was incorrectly installed and had to be redone to fix a major leak around the entire perimeter. The pool was severely damaged from roofing nail rust spots and tar. The paver driveway was severely damaged by heavy equipment and we had to hold back the last payment until they stubbornly agreed to repair it, but not before threatening to put a lien on our home. In the end they did fix the paver driveway, and we agreed to overlook the pool damage just to get them off our backs, but now they are threatening to sue us for this accurate review.
