Science Center Garage

This was my first time visiting the Connecticut Science Center in Hartford, and I went with my 3-year-old grandson. We had a wonderful experience! I highly recommend purchasing early morning tickets if you’re visiting with a toddler. My grandson was able to enjoy many of the exhibits with minimal crowds, which made the experience even better. One of his absolute favorite areas was the water tables—he could have stayed there all day. The fourth floor was also great, especially the make-believe house with play food, plates, and a kitchen setup. It was perfect for imaginative play. The science exhibits throughout the center are excellent for all ages, very educational, and full of hands-on activities that really keep children engaged. Don’t skip the gift shop! Great museum. Came here with my husband for a little pit stop and we had a great time. We loved the Pixar, engineering/space, and health exhibits. It was busy with kids but we had a great time learning. The shop raises there prices but had fun little souvenirs. The ice cream was so good.

Parking garage is attached to the Science Center. Parking lot fills up fast. But you can use the Convention Center parking garage across the street.

This review is specifically for the parking garage. I entered the garage with 8' 2" clearance warning. The entrance was tight but doable for my nearly 20 foot long Ford Transit. The first sign says oversized to the left along with a straight arrow pointing to 7' max clearance. I follow the left arrow especially since my 7' high van will not fit under the sign. Joke was on me. The oversized area is now all EV parking and chargers or reserved for some of the science programs. So now I have to do an awkward maneuver to get out of this. Next I squeeze around the sign and see there's a wall with 8 spots of oversized parking spots violators will be towed. Well guess what there were little SUVs and regular sized minivans parked there and no they didn't get a consequence. I'm not sure why the gara

Super cool place! I grew up with the old science museum in West Hartford, which was great, but man I wish we had this place!
