Science Drive Garage

DO NOT park here! Stuck on the 5th level at a standstill for about 30 minutes after a girls basketball game. Finally able to move once someone decides to direct traffic. Should have been doing that from the beginning.

It could have been a five-star experience if I could have used the spot I paid for, but they closed the lot 30 minutes before kickoff. I had to go park in a hotel lot and pay a second time. Basically, you end up paying twice; once for a spot you can’t use because they close it early, and again for somewhere else if you get parkingin advance. Duke essentially gets paid twice when they sell your spot.

Super convenient place to park for the Duke games if you have a pass. Short walk to Cameron. Safe.

Easy in and out. Short walk to Cameron and Wallace Wade stadium. Plenty of handicap parking. Reasonable price. 100% winner!!!

If I could give 0 stars, I would. It's absolutely absurd that graduate students are forced to park in this garage when it's over 1 mile away from labs. Not only that, but we have to pay almost $300 per year to park here. The buses around the garage are never on time, and take almost as long as walking would. The gates work about half of the time. Duke customer support is insanely rude whenever there is an issue with the gates, acting like it's our fault. Also, Duke uses the garage for events frequently without notifying students, forcing us to find parking elsewhere. We are SICK of it. SOMETHING NEEDS TO CHANGE.
