I needed to install a mobility device (Elevator) in the house to assist wife with navigating the three levels of the home. I had used Scroggs previously with a portico on the house (pic included) so I contacted them again. The elevator project had extremely tight tolerances and needed precision above all else as plumbing, electrical and carpentry was required. Jack came out and provided the estimate while Delmar did the design work and checked all tolerances. They were great and we then proceeded with construction. Nick, one of the owners was easy to deal with and ensures you are kept in the loop from a cost standpoint as well as resolving any issues that may arise. Bobby, the construction supervisor, was easy to deal with and ensured things were done right by the crew.. If you want

We hired Scroggs to build a 300 sq ft. living room addition onto our 100-year-old house. The age of our house posed numerous challenges along the way, but they worked each problem and we are extremely happy with the final product. Our project happened within a year of Helene, and I believe they restructured some of their business in order to accommodate post-storm renovations, so there were quite a few new hires (which caused a few turnovers that affected us), and a few people moving to new roles within the company, etc. It made communication challenging at times. However, throughout the process, we felt that Scroggs very much had our backs when they worked with subcontractors on our project. They were trusted and dependable advocates for us in making sure the workmanship was excellent a

Scroggs Construction built our retirement home in Gateway Mountain in Old Fort, NC. We were looking for a builder with CAPS (Certified Aging-in-Place) qualifications. One online meeting with the Scroggs team convinced us we had the right people. Scroggs is a design-build firm. Their qualified designers draw up plans, considering your needs and the features of the site itself (they can work with an existing plan, but design-build is ideal.) The Scroggs team took a trip to assess the sites we were considering; their advice was invaluable. Once we bought the land Dylan Eide (who was then lead designer) spent time at the site considering how best to fit our home on it. He pored over the HOA guidelines and tailored the plans and the HOA application to them. Our application was quickly approv

We had been living between Swannnanoa, NC and Dewees Island, SC for 20+ years when we decided to sell the beach house. Our plan was to make our NC home into an "age in place" home. Many years ago we had added on to the existing home but found that builder had retired. However, we were able to find one of the men who had helped with this. As luck would have it, he now worked for Scroggs. So began our journey right at the beginning of the Covid-19 Pandemic. The basement for years had served as one, big room that was used basically as storage. A new stove needed to be installed in the kitchen which involved having to add an exhaust hood. No small job considering this is an older log home. After a day of walking through the house with key people, everyone went to planning in their area of
