Sears Appliance Repair

The Repair people were great. However getting an appointment not so easy. When buying an appliance I will ask who will be out to fix it. It took many calls and refreshing a screen to get an appointment within a reasonable time frame. Lowes did not tell us that repairs go through Sears. Which does not have repair men equipped with the tools and parts. We had to have three different appointments over a month till our Washer was repaired. The people that came out were nice guys, however the process is not great.

The technician that came out, Kevin, was very thorough and professional. He explained things very clearly and was helpful. He is a 5 star employee. My issue with the process is that due to AI scheduling, there was important information that was not communicated. I had to unplug my fridge due to an electrical odor, and it was completely aired out by the time I had my appointment. Since the fridge was off some of the diagnostics were not able to be completed. If I had known to plug the appliance in 24 hours in advance I could have avoided the second service call that I will now have. I haven’t been able to talk to a person about the fees and how to avoid a double charge.

Absolutely do not use Sears home service for an appliance repair. They have zero communication or accountability. I was scheduled for a repair between 8am-5pm… I got an email at 530pm saying they rescheduled to the following week. My refrigerator is down and I cannot use it at all until it is repaired. I have tried calling to speak to a customer service rep and they only connect you to their automated system to confirm or cancel the appointment. I highly encourage you to use another repair service.

Rod was a life saver I had an issue with my refrigerator since the beginning of January. he was the first technician to come over and seem like he actually cared about getting it fixed. he got the part that I needed within a day and then the next day he was back out with my refrigerator ready to go. I appreciate him so much

Both the service people we very nice. Service dates were quick. Unfortunately for me, the problem has not been resolved and because it’s a warranty issue, the warranty company (assurant for Lowe’s) has to do any rescheduling and they are difficult to get a hold of.
