Sears Appliance Repair

The technician Sean,was wonderful. Very knowledgeable but this review is for Sears itself. You cannot get a live person EVER when you call them. Our furnace went out and they came right out on Oct 24 and we just got it fixed and working almost a month later. No communication from Sears but thankfully Sean kept us aware ever step. He went above and beyond what we expected, HOWEVER SEARS HOME REPAIR IS OFF MY LIST.

The technician was a really nice guy. This review is regarding the business practices of Sears. They knew before coming to my house exactly what washing machine I had, the part they were ordered for what they presumed was wrong, the price they would charge for that part and associated labor cost. So they knew that what they would be charging me would be more than my washer is worth. On top of that, they marked a $200 part up to $335 and wanted to charge $400 in labor for a job that would take under an hour. Completely unreasonable. I found this out as soon as the tech arrived at my house and yet I was not permitted to cancel the service appt because the part had already been ordered. I did not ask them to pre order the part nor did I authorize that. So they insisted they had to charge me t

The repairman was polite, professional and proficient! He located snd identified the issue and then gave us an estimate for the parts and labor. due to the age of the dryer, we opted Not to proceed with any repairs.

Tech was great was in and out quickly. But trying to reach someone is impossible no matter what option of buttons you press no never get to anyone. Now it's broken again, and saying can't come until Aug 16th. 10 days from now!

Sean, the service technician was polite. He told me my unit had to be replaced. He went to his vehicle and contacted someone. He told me the warranty company would contact me to send an installed for the new unit. After 2 days I contacted the warranty company his report is not complete. I contacted Sears (Aliana) and was told my unit is working fine. THIS IS NOT TRUE. Sean needs to complete the report so the warranty company can proceed. NO A/C for a month now. I am a heart patient, diabetic and 72 years old. Sears told me he said the unit was working when he left after I paid him $85 for service fee. The warranty company said they have 72 more hours before I guess they SEND SOMEONE ELSE OUT. Meanwhile NO A/C temperature is average 85 plus. I'm visiting family and friends due to house too
