Sears Appliance Repair

Our Whirlpool washer is less than 2 years old. Stopped working and tech identified broken transmission shifter. Work done w/in an hour. Great communication, very efficient. The fix cost more than 1/2 the cost of a new washer so I do think that is WAY too much for a 23 month old high end washer but the tech was great and work seems to be well done.

Technician was good, but on the other hand, on the website it says that there's a $140 diagnostics fee that will be "waived" onto the repair fee if the customer decides to go through with the repair, which sounds like a good deal, so I decided to go through with it. Once the repair technician arrived and we discussed what needs to be done and how much it would be, I mentioned the waived fee and he expressed how awful Sears is for MISLEADING their customers with using the term waived, because in reality that is not true at all, in fact, the diagnostics fee is added onto the repair fee and not taken from like the website insisted.. had I gone through with the repair it would've costed me almost $800 so I decided not to do it and just buy a new washer instead, I had to pay the diagnostic fee

Glen was able to quickly diagnose the problem and was also kind enough to show me a work around to help solve my immediate issue. But the quote to repair was way over! The part was quoted close for $400 but retailed for less than $200. It would have run me close to $800 - at that point I might as well get a new washer. Will be repaired by GE for less, but really appreciate Glenn and he represented Sear well :)

Snow blower repair. Technician Jason was extremely knowledgeable, and explained the problem in easy to understand terms. He suggested some easy to follow ideas to avoid the problem in the future. I'm more than satisfied with the service he provided.
