For clarification: • This individual did not install the original AC unit. The home is a brand new build, purchased one year ago, and is still under the builder’s warranty. • The builder hired this technician to address an issue with the coil and unit freezing. He came out and added refrigerant. Following this, the AC began leaking severely, causing ceiling water damage and requiring drywall replacement. • The builder then had him return to replace the coil, but within a week, the same issues reoccurred: the unit and coil were freezing, and there was a lack of cold air. • The builder attempted to contact him multiple times to return, but either received no response or was given appointment times that he did not keep. I recently moved into a newly built home and experienced an issue with the air conditioning system. The AC was leaking, the coil was damaged, and the drain pan installed was undersized. I contacted the HVAC company responsible for the system, and they came out to replace the coil — or at least attempted to. Unfortunately, the very next day after the coil was replaced, the refrigerant line began freezing again. I tried reaching the owner for nearly two weeks with no response. When he finally came back out, he simply added refrigerant without addressing any other potential causes or providing a full diagnostic. Find someone else do not waste ur time or money with these people all summer long have had to deal with this .
