We had ServiceMaster come and put our basement back together after installing a flood mitigation system. They did our new drywall, flooring, and painting. They were great to work with as we had a very tight turnaround time to get the project completed as we were also refinancing our house. Nate was very communicative and walked us through every step of the process. He did a final walk through to make sure we were completely satisfied with the work, and got us the best pricing he was able to. We did have a few times where the contractors were late as they were on other jobs, but overall the work was very good and we felt well taken care of.

Response: We were talking to the project manager as recently as this week and they didn’t mention billing once. As for the insurance piece, we explained over the phone that the settlement is pending and your amount was included, we needed a few extra days to get this done and you would not listen. You had my wife in tears. I appreciate the professional tone of your response, but you sure didn’t have this tone talking to my family, threatening them for payment. Also, you clearly didn’t have the right contact info. This company is run by clowns. After promising several times throughout the sales process that this wouldn’t turn into a collect call while we were working through the details, they called up my wife out of the blue and demanded payment. And we were speaking with Michelle the GM.

Service Masters was awesome! They showed up when they were supposed to be here. They were respectable and kind. They went above and beyond more than once. They kept me informed on how things were going with our project. If I’m ever in need of a house repair again, they will be the first people I call.

The guy first said $1,000, then changed it to $1,000–$1300. When I was finishing the conversation, I specifically asked again about the price, because I know the games these companies play, and at that point he said it would be around $ 1300- $1500. I even told him directly that he had already bumped up the price three different times within that 15 minutes. I normally would never use companies like this because I am done dealing with people who operate that way. The only reason I agreed was because I assumed it would be covered through insurance. Of course they insurance company denied the claim. The actual repairs only cost $1,200, yet these guys want to charge $1,767.
