Title: Disappointed with lack of follow-up after paying service fee We scheduled a service appointment for our gas fireplace. Our technician, Grant, came out and quickly identified that the issue was with the valve. ( My husband had already taken the fireplace apart). Unfortunately, he didn’t have the part with him. We paid the service fee and were told we’d receive follow-up once the part was located. After multiple calls over several weeks, we were told Grant was out sick, then later that they were having trouble finding the part. No one ever called us back. Out of frustration, my husband removed the valve himself, uploaded a photo online, and found over twenty places that carried the exact part. He ordered and installed it himself without issue. Got a same day appointment, my thermostat broke and the person answering the phone understood my concern with not having the heat working. Grant showed up, very professional, explained everything and was very efficient. Happy with the whole process

Probably the best hvac company I have ever used. Had them service the furnace but needed a major part. Of course it’s no longer available. It was a pretty low end unit. Purchased a new Bryant furnace and they gave a credit towards the new unit for what I paid on the service. The owner,Shane, emailed me to check on everything and how things went. Can’t recommend them enough.

12/5/2025: Winter heating service checkup conducted by Grant from Shafer. Grant performed a comprehensive inspection and operational safety check of our FAU unit. Pleased with his attention to detail during his inspection. Would recommend Shafer Heating & Cooling services including bi-annual inspections of heating and cooling equipment.

On Monday We called Shafer Heating & cooling because our A/C had been out for 3 days it was 90 in the house they were great .. arrived on Tuesday kept us informed when they would be here..unit repaired and perfect after one hr. I can't say enough positive about a more than great fellow and efficient company Thank you all for your prompt service. Highly recommend their services. Thank you. Joan and Rick Collins
