Shreckhise Shrubbery Sales & Landscaping

Was looking for advice on some shrubbery at my parents’ property. The ice storm last winter really hit hard. Since some of the plants are over 45 years old, but it’s part of the home place , it’s really hard to lose anything. From the first contact with them, the team was extremely kind and helpful. I was given directions by Teresa on the phone to try the pond location as the office was closed. I was able to speak with Candace after relaying my concern to the office staff. She was very knowledgeable and understanding of the concerns I had and looked at some pictures I’d taken to show the damage up close. One particular plant needs to be addressed to install a handrail. Sold us an infested tree and wouldn’t help us at all when the larvae hatched. Bought a small magnolia May 13, and invasive spotted lanternfly larvae were *everywhere* on it three weeks later. Eggs get laid in fall, but the woman at Schrekhise said it wasn’t their problem and they hadn’t heard of anyone else having an issue. No way - the tree was infested when sold. Please be cautious. The species is invasive and quite expensive to treat. And, unfortunately, you won’t get your money back or help in getting rid of the problem. So why two stars? I’ve gotten two other good trees over the past three years.
