Silver Crown Landscape Materials

Absolutely awful experience. I wish I’d read more reviews before ordering from this place. The quality of the material was terrible — full of debris, inconsistent sizes, and nothing like what they promised. When I called to ask for help, the staff couldn’t have cared less. They were rude, dismissive, and basically told me “that’s what you get.” Delivery was late, the driver dumped everything in the wrong spot, and they refused to fix it. Save yourself the headache — there are plenty of other landscape suppliers in the area who actually care about their customers and stand behind their products. I’ll never order from them again.

First of all, just want to support other review that says the owner is very rude. Not sure if it was actually the owner but when I came the first time to see rocks, and asked him politely what rocks are the most popular - he answered rudely that he is not landscaping company. I thought maybe he was just mad cuz I got there 5-10 min before they close and didn’t take it too seriously. A week or so later, I ordered 8 tons of landscaping rocks that I really liked. Paid over 1k. Was very excited about them and actually the start was really good - they were delivered within only an hour after I made an order. But when we started bringing rocks to the backyard we saw that there is sand inside. I’ll post photos of rocks how they were delivered and then photos of the middle of the pile full of sand

Great place, great employees , good prices, what more can you ask for. I was going to Santa Fe Sand and gravel but they keep changing their prices, charging more each time I went. They just make up prices as they go along. I am very pleased with the employees, friendly greeting, and the prices here.

Updated* i had previously given Silver Crown a 5 Star until I recently bought some mulch from them. We got 2 loads of mulch. The first one, the trailer was filled all the way to the top. The second load was maybe 2/3rds full at best (see attached photo), and they charged us the same exact amount! They don’t go by weight but by bucket size, which, if they spill half of it not in your trailer, you’re still apparently on the hook for it! They then proceeded to give me attitude and argue with me that they’ve been doing this for years, rather than focusing on good service and making it right. They finally agreed to measure on our 3rd load, which was full this time, and it came out to the same measurement as the last 2. Moral of the story- either get measured every time, or just go elsewhere. No

I called to ask what gardening mixes they had available. The woman on the phone said that most people buy the topsoil compost mix. I asked if I was clean and was assured that it was. The soil I received not only has lots of little rocks, the top soil is actually clay like much of the dirt found in Colorado. It has clumps the size of grapefruits that I can't break up. It holds on to the water. I would give it the quality of fill dirt. The compost isn't actually compost but fresh manure. Don't use this for your veggies as they will die. Customer service was poor when I called back with a question.
