ELDER ABUSE WARNING: My wife Joann (82) and I (91) are handicapped seniors who experienced financial exploitation, property damage, and intimidation with Simple Transitions managed by Janell in Fresno. We were quoted $75/hour but never received a written contract or pricing breakdown. On moving day, unexpected charges appeared: $630 for bins, $2,290 for 5 Star Moving, and $5,500 for incomplete packing/unpacking, totaling approximately $8,000. None of this was discussed upfront! Items marked for delivery were left behind, requiring family to complete the move. Property damage included our refrigerator, cracked antique China cabinet glass, and a safety apparatus not reinstalled.
