SKC installed our generator and we are very happy with it. It automatically tests itself on a weekly schedule, and the company provided the first annual maintenance at no extra charge. When two separate power outages occurred during the past year, the generator functioned reliably and efficiently. We consider the cost a worthwhile investment.

We had our AC replaced earlier this year, and SKC Electrical Service, Inc. was the contracted electrician on the job. About six months later, we lost power for an entire day. Duke Energy came out that evening and told us that a piece inside our electrical box had been broken, and that it was likely caused by whoever last worked inside it. We contacted SKC to ask if they could fix what had been broken. They didn’t take responsibility for the issue but told my husband they would get the part and mentioned a rough price (around $250 plus the service call fee). He wasn’t given anything in writing or asked to confirm the cost before they started the work since most good companies provide an actual cost before starting the work. I've always found Shane's team to be professional and, most importantly, prompt in response to my needs. Unlike other Generac service providers I've read about, I am confident that I can rely upon SKC to be there for me during the next hurricane.

Arranged for SKC to begin the yearly maintenance on our 2yo Generac whole house system. All interactions were pleasant and professional. Josh was the technician. He was knowledgeable and thorough. On Sept. 5, 2024 my AC went out. I had an AC tech come to fix it. He identified the issue was the connection to the Generator. That evening I called SKC Electric who installed and services my Generac home generator. The next day their technician showed up. He identified and corrected the issue professionally and efficiently. All of my interactions with SKc, from the generator installation through their service/ maintenance of the generator has been very easy to work with, they fully explain everything and are a pleasure to work with.
