Skyline Tree Care

We have used Skyline Tree Care multiple times with great satisfaction, and have recommended them to our neighbors, who have then continued to use them. We have many trees on our property that are at risk of falling on our home. In order to prevent trees from being pushed over by high winds, Skyline Tree Care has “de-sailed” them with great success. We have had no trees come down in wind storms since 2006 (when 7 came down), which was before we started using Skyline Tree Care. In addition to de-sailing our Doug Firs, they also have judiciously pruned Madrone trees that have developed an infection that is going around in this species. Island Skyline Tree Care is an excellent arborist service in the San Juan Islands. My family has used them annually for over 10 years to look after the trees around our house and on two other properties. They do a great job. They are careful, do not injure trees being trimmed, operate safely and are on time and on budget. When they are done they cut and stack firewood size material for us, chip the smaller branches and either save the chips for us or take them away. Then they rake and use a blower, you can never tell they were there. They have our highest recommendation.

This Fall 2022 we gave Skyline the mission to optimize the "firewise" status of the property, eliminate unhealthy trees, reduce tree density, rid the property of tree debris and limb up trees that were to be retained. Our goal was to be able to shelter in place on the property during a wildfire event. Skyline's arborist advice was helpful through the process. I have worked with Skyline for many years on many occasions. They are always professional, prompt, return calls and have always done an excellent job for me. When they are finished with a job they always do a great job of clean-up. I have a large property that has lots of big trees. They have removed lower limbs so there is less chance of trees falling. They climb and check the health of a very old Doug fir that is close to the house. Removed dead trees that could have caused damage to my home and some that could have caused damage to neighbor homes. I highly recommend them.
